ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਸੁਣਿ ਮੈਲੁ ਗਵਾਏ ॥
गुरबाणी सुणि मैलु गवाए ॥
Gurbāṇī suṇ mail gavā▫e.
Listening to the Word of Gurbani, filth is washed off,
धनासरी महला ३ ॥
Ḏẖanāsrī mėhlā 3.
Dhanaasaree, Third Mehl:
ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਸੇਵਹਿ ਤਿਨ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਉ ॥
जो हरि सेवहि तिन बलि जाउ ॥
Jo har sevėh ṯin bal jā▫o.
I am a sacrifice to those who serve the Lord.
ਤਿਨ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਸਾਚੁ ਸਚਾ ਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਉ ॥
तिन हिरदै साचु सचा मुखि नाउ ॥
Ŧin hirḏai sācẖ sacẖā mukẖ nā▫o.
The Truth is in their hearts, and the True Name is on their lips.
ਸਾਚੋ ਸਾਚੁ ਸਮਾਲਿਹੁ ਦੁਖੁ ਜਾਇ ॥
साचो साचु समालिहु दुखु जाइ ॥
Sācẖo sācẖ samālihu ḏukẖ jā▫e.
Dwelling upon the Truest of the True, their pains are dispelled.
ਸਾਚੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਵਸੈ ਮਨਿ ਆਇ ॥੧॥
साचै सबदि वसै मनि आइ ॥१॥
Sācẖai sabaḏ vasai man ā▫e. ||1||
Through the True Word of the Shabad, the Lord comes to dwell in their minds. ||1||

ਸਹਜੇ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਏ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
सहजे हरि नामु मंनि वसाए ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Sėhje har nām man vasā▫e. ||1|| rahā▫o.
and they naturally enshrine the Lord's Name in their minds. ||1||Pause||
ਕੂੜੁ ਕੁਸਤੁ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਅਗਨਿ ਬੁਝਾਏ ॥
कूड़ु कुसतु त्रिसना अगनि बुझाए ॥
Kūṛ kusaṯ ṯarisnā agan bujẖā▫e.
One who conquers fraud, deceit and the fire of desire
ਅੰਤਰਿ ਸਾਂਤਿ ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਏ ॥
अंतरि सांति सहजि सुखु पाए ॥
Anṯar sāʼnṯ sahj sukẖ pā▫e.
finds tranquility, peace and pleasure within.
ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਭਾਣੈ ਚਲੈ ਤਾ ਆਪੁ ਜਾਇ ॥
गुर कै भाणै चलै ता आपु जाइ ॥
Gur kai bẖāṇai cẖalai ṯā āp jā▫e.
If one walks in harmony with the Guru's Will, he eliminates his self-conceit.
ਸਾਚੁ ਮਹਲੁ ਪਾਏ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇ ॥੨॥
साचु महलु पाए हरि गुण गाइ ॥२॥
Sācẖ mahal pā▫e har guṇ gā▫e. ||2||
He finds the True Mansion of the Lord's Presence, singing the Glorious Praises of the Lord. ||2||
ਨ ਸਬਦੁ ਬੂਝੈ ਨ ਜਾਣੈ ਬਾਣੀ ॥
न सबदु बूझै न जाणै बाणी ॥
Na sabaḏ būjẖai na jāṇai baṇī.
The blind, self-willed manmukh does not understand the Shabad; he does not know the Word of the Guru's Bani,
ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਅੰਧੇ ਦੁਖਿ ਵਿਹਾਣੀ ॥
मनमुखि अंधे दुखि विहाणी ॥
Manmukẖ anḏẖe ḏukẖ vihāṇī.
and so he passes his life in misery.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਭੇਟੇ ਤਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਏ ॥
सतिगुरु भेटे ता सुखु पाए ॥
Saṯgur bẖete ṯā sukẖ pā▫e.
But if he meets the True Guru, then he finds peace,
ਹਉਮੈ ਵਿਚਹੁ ਠਾਕਿ ਰਹਾਏ ॥੩॥
हउमै विचहु ठाकि रहाए ॥३॥
Ha▫umai vicẖahu ṯẖāk rahā▫e. ||3||
and the ego within is silenced. ||3||
ਕਿਸ ਨੋ ਕਹੀਐ ਦਾਤਾ ਇਕੁ ਸੋਇ ॥
किस नो कहीऐ दाता इकु सोइ ॥
Kis no kahī▫ai ḏāṯā ik so▫e.
Who else should I speak to? The One Lord is the Giver of all.
ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰੇ ਸਬਦਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਾ ਹੋਇ ॥
किरपा करे सबदि मिलावा होइ ॥
Kirpā kare sabaḏ milāvā ho▫e.
When He grants His Grace, then we obtain the Word of the Shabad.
ਮਿਲਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਸਾਚੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਾ ॥
मिलि प्रीतम साचे गुण गावा ॥
Mil parīṯam sācẖe guṇ gāvā.
Meeting with my Beloved, I sing the Glorious Praises of the True Lord.
ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਚੇ ਸਾਚਾ ਭਾਵਾ ॥੪॥੫॥
नानक साचे साचा भावा ॥४॥५॥
Nānak sācẖe sācẖā bẖāvā. ||4||5||
O Nanak, becoming truthful, I have become pleasing to the True Lord. ||4||5||
